Field Course Design Workshop

Join Educate Wild! in the Ponderosa Pines and cool, mountain air of Flagstaff, Arizona for a 5-day field course design workshop. Faculty in the sciences and humanities will leave this week-long workshop with fresh ideas for teaching in the field and the classroom.

The workshop will take place in a state-of-the-art classroom and include short field trips to nearby national parks, national forests, and local parks. Come with an idea and leave with a plan!
During this practical, hands on workshop participants will work through a structured, creative process to:
- develop learning outcomes,
- effectively create a positive learning community in the field (or classroom),
- build a course calendar,
- choose and manage appropriate risks,
- plan efficient logistics, and
- design a field-based experiential course for any discipline.

Tuition: $1250 / person *
