Learn to organize your thinking using visual methods during this free one-hour workshop!

Learn to clump, cluster, expand, and illustrate ideas with simple techniques and easy-to-draw icons. You do NOT have to be an artist to express yourself graphically, but you do have to be adventurous enough to try.   This workshop provides the opportunity to practice visual thinking and graphic self-expression in the safety of your own personal journal.  Start thinking out loud (on paper)!

Improve your ability to communicate with students, colleagues, clients, and collaborators by learning the fundamentals of visual communication.  Draw out your ideas using mind maps, visual templates, and easy-to-draw icons. You do NOT have to be an artist to express yourself graphically, but you do have to be adventurous enough to try.  This workshop provides the opportunity to practice visual communication techniques and icons "on the wall" by working on large sheets of paper or whiteboards (provided).

Do you know where your career is taking you?  If not, this workshop is for you! Participants will use 5 steps to design a fulfilling career path.  Step 1: know yourself.  Step 2: dream BIG about your career goals. Step 3: define your career path. Step 4: make a plan to follow your bliss. Step 5: regularly check to see if it fits.  During this workshop, participants will reflect on their strengths and values, brainstorm professional opportunities, learn to conduct informational interviews and gain career experience, and review sample experiential education résumés to clarify paths to success.

Step 3: Weigh the risks of specific activities against your goals. Avoid, manage and reduce risks when prudent.
